Well.....
So it's been awhile since I've posted anything, mainly because I have a Facebook account and everyone I know has one too so we've been using that to keep in touch but for those who do not here is what is going on. NOTHING! Well almost nothing. Let's see...my sister came down from Utah for Thanksgiving and we spent the weekend doing fun things for my birthday. We went to the spa and had facials. Kayla, my mom and I went to lunch Friday to Cheesecake Factory again because they have this awesome dish that apparently I can't get enough of. ;-) Then on Sunday we went to my parents ward where Kayla sang my favorite song and it was beautiful. It was her rehearsal/audition piece to get into BYU's music program. Then yesterday I took all three kids to the doctor for their physicals and my oldest has finally had another growth spurt. I think it's been at least a year since his last one. They're all healthy and right on track for their ages. They all got their season and H1N1 flu shots so they should be covered, well until next year. I think that covers what we've been doing over the last few weeks. Hope you all had a save and fun Thanksgiving holiday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNOR
Today we celebrated Connor's 4th birthday. We took him up to the "Dinosaur Park" (Aliante Discovery Park) because he loves to go up there to feed the ducks. He had a blast. My parents with the girls came out to have pizza and cake and just had a good time all the way around. The weather was beautiful. It would have been perfect if it was 10 degrees cooler but at least it wasn't 100 or even 90. He is totally into Transformers so he got his cake with transformers on them and then an action figure with a few pairs of new pajamas for fall/winter. He doesn't care about clothes but he likes PJ's. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful little boy for the last 4 years and he's made such great strides over the last year, I am just so proud of him.
Happy Birthday Dude!

FIRSTS FOR THE ELDEST GILLINS BOY

Yesterday was officially the first day Connor rode the bus home from school. Even though he has always been interested in the bus, he has been a little apprehensive about getting near one and who's to blame him. They're big and loud! So Tuesday he's been very expressive about the bus and I thought, "well maybe we'll start with stepping onto the bus, checking it out so he can see that even though it's big, it's not as scary as he thinks it is". That was a hit. Yesterday when I dropped him off with his teacher, I asked him if he would like to ride the bus home and to much of our amazement, he said "yes" so I decided to meet him down at the school, park behind the buses so he wouldn't see me and watch him as he made his way onto his bus. He did so well. The bus driver said he was a little nervous at first but did such a great job and would have a treat for him today. This morning, he told his teachers that he was going to ride the bus home from school so I am going to sit at home today and wait for his bus to pull up. :-)
( I didn't realize however how emotional I would be just from him taking the bus home. Gees, these crazy hormones.)
I also decided that as he was making huge progress with the bus that I would start to help him get "night trained". He's such a heavy sleeper that he has a hard time waking up so he's been wearing pull-ups to bed for the last 18 months. Well, last night we put him in underwear and guess what....woke up dry! Now if we can only keep this up for the next few nights he'll get the hang of it I think. We will just have to wake him up a couple of times for the next little bit.

6 Week appointment

Yesterday I took Jonathan in for his 6 week appointment and he is 12 pounds, 7 ounces and 22 3/4 inches tall. He didn't really grow in length but the 3/4 but he sure is packing on the pounds. He's healthy but he is still struggling with reflux so he decided to keep him on the Zantac for another 2 months and evaluate him then. I am okay with that since he is a happier baby now that he is on it and not as irritable. I am amazed everyday that I look at him and he's a day, week or month older than the last and eventually he'll be 1 and then 2 years of age. He is growing up so fast already since it seems like I had him just last week. I always miss being pregnant as soon as I have my babies and can't wait to have the next but with him, I just want to wait and cherish everyday, watch him grow and learn and it makes me a little sad some days that he's already 6 weeks old. (part of that too I think is the hormonal imbalance and that my older sister just had her 6th baby last Thursday and she usually has her babies before me :-))
